I'm a professor, sex therapist + feminist rock star. I teach psychology full time at Montgomery College, and have a home office in Gaithersburg, MD where I see clients part time.
I've been a psychotherapist for nearly 20 years and I have a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology and a PhD in General Psychology. My post graduate training has been focused on trauma, mindfulness, body centered psychotherapy, and currently I'm working towards certification in a multidisciplinary approach to sex therapy. My work with clients is further influenced by attachment theories, feminism + equality, and research (I'm a science geek!). All of the above training is integrated with cognitive-behavioral and solution focused approaches to treating sexual disorders.
I use a sex-positive approach that is focused on sexual health, and I work with straight, gay, lesbian, and bisexual individuals and couples of any lifestyle. I also work with trans folks, and people who identify as gender queer, or who aren't on a binary.
