Joanne Bagshaw & Associates is fee-for-service sex and relationship therapy practice. We are primarily telehealth, but also have an office space on Main Street in the Kentlands, Gaithersburg, and Patterson Park, Baltimore.
The ideal candidate will have experience treating anxiety, depression, adjustment, and family-of-origin issues, and have training in trauma therapy and any couples modality. You’ll be working with couples integrating sex and couple therapy, individual clients with sexual dysfunction, and individuals and couples who have sexual dysfunction and complex trauma.
We provide on-the-job training and consultation in sex therapy and trauma therapy.
We are a trauma-informed, sexual health, feminist practice. Therapists and staff at Joanne Bagshaw & Associates are culturally affirming, racial justice, and LGBTQ+ allies. Our practice draws clients from diverse populations throughout the DMV, and we are seeking therapists who understand how culture, context, and systemic oppression impact their lives and relationships.
This position is perfect for psychotherapists who enjoy working with couples and individuals, are self-motivated and independent (but know when to ask for help), responsible, compassionate, and comfortable with a broad range of human sexuality.
If you are a new or experienced therapist with training in reproductive mental health, such as infertility or pregnancy and postpartum, and/or training in eating disorders, and are interested in also learning sex therapy, we would love for you to join us!
We are the right fit for you if you have a good sense of humor, are a highly organized therapist who understands that being a good therapist involves a lifelong commitment to learning and training, know how to manage your caseload, and can't leave emails unanswered in your inbox.
