Rates & Payment

Joanne Bagshaw & Associates is a fee for service practice, meaning we are not contracted with any insurance agencies. We will provide you with an itemized bill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement out of network. Most clients are reimbursed by their insurance companies 50%- 80% of the therapy fee. Some clients are reimbursed 100% for out of network psychotherapy.

How does reimbursement work?

You pay at the time of service, and we will provide you with an itemized bill (superbill) either monthly or after each session, if needed. After you submit your superbill to your insurance company, the insurance company will reimburse you directly. For example, if your insurance company reimburses couples therapy at 80%, after reimbursement, you would pay $45 for a couples session billed at $225 after you meet you deductible.
