Sex therapy, and relationship counseling in Columbia, SC. Virtual therapy for ADHD, couples, parents, and military families.

Perhaps you are managing work, family, and a relationship while feeling that you are always behind. Small responsibilities become recurring arguments. Conversations about intimacy get postponed. You know something needs to change, but another suggestion to “get organized” or “communicate better” does not address what is actually happening.

At Joanne Bagshaw & Associates, we offer online therapy for adults and couples in Columbia and the surrounding Midlands. We bring together support for ADHD and executive functioning, sex therapy, parenting, and relationship concerns rather than expecting you to separate experiences that overlap in daily life.

ADHD and Executive Functioning Support for Daily Life

Executive functioning difficulties can show up in planning, managing time, starting or finishing tasks, and remembering everyday responsibilities. Adults with ADHD may find these challenges affecting several areas of life at once.

In therapy, we can explore where things tend to break down and develop supports that fit your actual circumstances. You might work on creating a manageable morning routine, making tasks easier to begin, or communicating earlier when a commitment needs to change.

For couples, this work also includes the relationship around those tasks. We make space for frustration, shame, and unmet needs while looking for approaches that do not leave one person managing everything.

When your time together is dominated by unfinished tasks or unresolved arguments, talking about sex may feel like one more difficult conversation.

Our sex therapy work provides room to explore desire, emotional closeness, sexual concerns, boundaries, and the conditions that help you feel comfortable connecting. We can examine how household responsibilities, attention, stress, and relationship patterns intersect with your intimate life—without assuming that every sexual concern is caused by ADHD.

You are welcome to seek support individually or with a partner. The goal is a clearer understanding of your needs and more choice in how you experience intimacy

Sex Therapy That Looks Beyond the Bedroom

Parenting Support for You as a Person and a Partner

Parenting therapy is not about becoming a perfect parent. It is a place to examine what your family needs while also taking your own needs seriously.

We work with parents who want to discuss differences in parenting approaches, manage competing responsibilities, or establish clearer boundaries and expectations. For those raising children with ADHD or navigating their own executive functioning challenges, sessions can focus on making routines more workable and reducing blame around what is not working.

There is also room to explore who you are beyond your parenting role, including your relationships, sexuality, and hopes for the next stage of family life.
